Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the SmartTech AI Insurance Advisor website and AI chat assistant (the "Service"), operated by SmartTech Insurance Brokers LLP, an IRDAI-licensed insurance broker (Insurance Broker Life & General License No. 731). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

What the Service does

The Service lets you chat with an AI assistant to get indicative insurance quotes from the insurers we work with, ask questions about policy coverage and benefits, compare plans, look up cashless network hospitals, and get guidance on filing a claim. Where a quote is generated, it is computed either by the relevant insurer's own live quotation system or by our own calculators built on that insurer's published rate tables.

SmartTech Insurance Brokers LLP is a licensed insurance broker, not an insurer. We help you understand and compare insurance products issued by third-party insurance companies; we do not underwrite, issue, or guarantee any policy ourselves.

Nature of AI-generated responses

The Service uses artificial intelligence to interpret your questions and generate responses grounded, where possible, in the insurers' own policy documents. AI-generated responses may occasionally be incomplete, out of date, or inaccurate. They are provided for general informational and educational purposes and do notconstitute financial, legal, medical, or insurance advice, and do not replace the insurer's official policy wording, which always governs.

Quotes and premiums are indicative

Any premium or quote shown through the Service is an estimate based on the information you provide and the insurer's rates or systems at the time of the request. The final premium, terms, and acceptance of any policy are always determined by the insurer, subject to their underwriting review, and may differ from what the Service shows you.

Your responsibilities

• Provide accurate and truthful information when using the Service, including for anyone you are getting a quote on behalf of.
• Use the Service only for lawful purposes, and not to send abusive, fraudulent, or automated/bulk traffic.
• Keep your account sign-in code confidential; you are responsible for activity under your account.
• Review the insurer's official policy document before purchasing any product.

Human advisor hand-off

Beyond a certain number of messages, or on request, the Service may direct you to continue the conversation with a human advisor over WhatsApp. This is a convenience feature and does not create any additional obligation on our part beyond what is stated in these Terms.

Intellectual property

The Service, including its content, design, and underlying software, is owned by or licensed to SmartTech Insurance Brokers LLP and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Insurer names, logos, and product names referenced in the Service belong to their respective owners and are used only to identify and describe their products.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SmartTech Insurance Brokers LLP is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your reliance on an AI-generated response, an indicative quote, or any decision you make based on information provided through the Service. The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

Changes to the Service or these Terms

We may update these Terms, or change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service, at any time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we change these Terms; continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
